Prices:

As part of our social circus focus, we are offering a variety of price points for the Boston Regional Festival so that youth from different socioeconomic backgrounds can attend. We encourage each participant and family to pay what they are able. Please pay more if you can, and less if you can’t!

Youth Non-Member + Donation (this will allow a lower-income participant to attend this festival): $100

Youth AYCO Member + Donation (this will allow a lower-income participant to attend this festival): $90
Youth Non-Member: $80
Youth AYCO Member: $70
Youth Reduced Price Option 1: $55
Youth Reduced Price Option 2: $35
Chaperone: $25
Showcase Ticket Only: $10

We acknowledge that people tend to be very uncomfortable talking about money. We do not want to offend anyone or make them uncomfortable. We are trying to experiment with making this festival more accessible to youth participants from a wide range of economic backgrounds. If you have concerns or questions about your ability to participate financially, please contact us at info@commonwealthcircus.com.

Some ways to assess which price point to choose (note: these are general guidelines; we understand that people may have factors and circumstances to consider in addition to these, but we offer them to try to help each family find the most appropriate category):

If your household income is:

  • $75K or higher, please consider paying $90/$100
  • $45-$75K, please consider paying $55-$80
  • Less than $45K, please consider paying $35

Additional means of assessment, if needed:

  • If you own your own home, please consider paying $90/$100
  • If your child attends a private school and does not receive a full or almost-full scholarship, please consider paying $80-90
  • If your child gets free or reduced-cost lunch at their school, it’s reasonable to pay $35

Workshop Sign-Up

Once you’ve registered, you can sign up for workshops on Sched!

Schedule:

9am – Check-in begins
9:30am – Welcome and Safety Talk
10am – 11:15am – Workshop Block 1
11:30am – 12:45pm – Workshop Block 2
12:45 – 1:45pm – Lunch!
1:45 – 3pm – Workshop Block 3
3:15 – 4:30pm – Workshop Block 4
4:30 – 6pm – Break, tech and set up for Showcase
6pm – Doors open for Showcase
6:15pm – 7pm – Showcase
7pm – 7:30pm – Pizza!
7:30pm – 8pm – Clean up & End of day

Chaperone Information

Youth under 8 years of old must arrive and remain with a chaperone throughout the day. The $25 chaperone admission includes access to the space, a showcase ticket, morning coffee and lunch.

Waiver

All participants must sign a waiver before participating in the regional.

Workshop Leader Application

The workshop leader application deadline is May 23rd.

Showcase Application

The showcase application closes Saturday, June 16th.

Full refunds available up to a week before the event on June 16th. After June 16th, refunds are available only in the case of extraordinary circumstances, like a serious injury.
